Youth Choir Coro G

Coro G was founded in Turin in 2003 and has since been directed by Carlo Pavese and vocally coached by Arianna Stornello. Over the years, the curious attitude of the singers has made the choir a place where new musical languages are explored, experimented and improvised. The choir is mainly dedicated to contemporary a cappella music, with thematic and monographic programmes. It has performed Urmas Sisask’s Gloria Patri cycle in its entirety for the first time in Italy and commissioned, staged and premiered the choral fairy tale La principessa luminosa by Laura Marconi. Together with other ensembles and former choristers, some symphonic masterpieces such as Mozart’s Requiem, Orff’s Carmina Burana and Mendelssohn’s Lobgesang were performed. In addition, the youth choir has conceived the “Legature” festival in collaboration with Italian and European youth choirs. In addition to numerous concerts in Italy, the choir has also sung in Germany (Hamburg, Hanover, Wolfenbüttel, Usedom), Estonia (Rapla, Tallinn), France (Briancon) and the Basque Country (Irun, San Sebastian).
